Galette des Rois / King's Cake

Join us for the traditional "Galette des Rois" at FSACCI office to reconnect after the new year!

To celebrate the beginning of 2024, the French South African Chamber of Commerce & Industry would like to invite its members to meet and network over a slice of King’s cake. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect after the festive season and to present the chamber's strategy and upcoming events for the year.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 18^th January from 17:00 at the FSACCI office for the traditional "Galette des Rois" – called the King’s cake.

What is the Galette des Rois ?

The Galette des Rois (or the King's Cake) is a cake traditionally shared on January 6, the day of the Epiphany. It is made of puff pastry, in which a bean/figurine is hidden, and is filled with frangipane (cream made of sweet almonds, butter, eggs and sugar). The person who gets the hidden item becomes the king or queen for the day.

• Entry: Free event reserved for FSACCI members
