The 3rd Annual Nedbank Diplomatic Banking State of the Nation Viewing Dinner, held at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town, brought together influential leaders, including the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) Chairperson Dr Yves Guénon and the French Consul in Cape Town, Sophie Bel.
The event was attended by over 50 Heads of Mission and Consuls General, reinforcing the dinner’s reputation as the premier SONA viewing event.
During the evening, Nedbank’s Board Chair Daniel Mminele and Group CEO Jason Quinn shared their insights on the resilience and optimism in business despite global uncertainties. The event highlighted the strength of Nedbank’s Diplomatic Banking offering, fostering strong client relationships and leveraging stakeholder networks for mutual benefit.
Special guests included Deputy Ministers Alvin Botes and Thandi Moraka from International Relations, and Ms. Judith Tshabalala from Water and Sanitation, underscoring the valuable partnerships between the private sector and government.
Expert analysis was provided by ETHICORE’s Wisahl Jappie and Abdul Waheed Patel, along with Liandra da Silva from Nedbank’s Group Economics Unit. The evening concluded with lively entertainment from Mo-T of MiCasa.
