Aerosud Takes Steps Toward Sustainable Water Supply
Aerosud, a member of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI), is working to secure a reliable fresh water supply.
Tshwane has experienced frequent water shortages in recent years. To address this challenge, Aerosud explored options for a backup water source. The process required extensive geological surveys and multiple approvals.
After drilling a dry borehole, the team decided to make one final attempt. A water source was finally discovered. The next steps involve testing the water’s sustainability and quality before approval.
Aerosud has a strong focus on environmental management. The company previously installed a large solar power system and a reverse osmosis treatment plant.
CEO Johan Steyn emphasized the importance of responsible resource management. “Having installed a significant PV solar system some years back, as well as a new RO and effluent treatment plant recently, Aerosud is no stranger to managing environmental issues with great care.”
