Alstom Appoints New Managing Director for Southern Africa

Alstom, a platinum member of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) and a global leader in smart, sustainable mobility, has announced the appointment of Tristan le Masne as the new Managing Director for Southern Africa. 

Based in Johannesburg, Tristan succeeds Bernard Peille, who now leads Alstom’s Latin America cluster.

In his new role, Tristan will oversee the growth of Alstom’s Southern African portfolio, including strategic management of Alstom’s four entities in South Africa: Gibela Rail JV, Alstom Rolling Stock South Africa JV, Bombela Maintenance JV, and Alstom Ubunye. 

His extensive experience, including as Vice President for Finance for Alstom's AMECA region and a non-executive director on the Gibela Rail Board, positions him to drive the company's continued success in modernizing the railway sector and advancing sustainable mobility solutions.
