Bastille Day in Pretoria & Cape Town
FSACCI was honoured to participate in the 2026 Bastille Day celebrations hosted by the Embassy of France in South Africa and the Consulate General of France in Cape Town. The annual celebrations provided an opportunity to celebrate France's National Day while bringing together business leaders, institutional partners and members of the French-South African community to strengthen relationships and reaffirm the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
At the reception held at the Residence of France in Pretoria, representatives from the French and South African business communities gathered alongside government officials, diplomatic representatives and key stakeholders. The evening offered valuable networking opportunities, reconnecting with existing partners and meeting new contacts. Many FSACCI members were in attendance, reinforcing the Chamber's vibrant business network.
The celebrations continued in Cape Town, where the Consulate General of France hosted a reception at the French School. The event brought together members of the French community, business leaders, institutional partners and local stakeholders, highlighting the strength of the French presence in the Western Cape and the importance of continued collaboration between France and South Africa.
Participation in events such as Bastille Day reflects FSACCI's commitment to fostering meaningful business connections, supporting its members and strengthening the economic relationship between France and South Africa. By engaging with key stakeholders across both regions, the Chamber continues to build opportunities for collaboration, dialogue and sustainable growth.
