On Wednesday 24th January 2024, the French South African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FSACCI) in collaboration with the French Tech South Africa, hosted the second edition of Le Bridge - getting the year off to a good start.
Le Bridge is a B2B events dedicated to bringing together start-ups and large companies.
In its second edition, the event delved into the dynamic synergy between established corporate entities and start-ups within the Artificial Intelligence (AI) domain.

Attendees were treated to insightful presentations by industry experts.
Victor Faurie assured attendees that AI is not to be feared, rather, it ensures business effectiveness in a fast-growing economy. Following this, Mmuso Mafisa, highlighted the power of storytelling in AI, bridging the gap between businesses and clients. He showcased a prototype for African Bank, using virtual reality to assist potential clients in setting up a bank card seamlessly from their smartphones.
Tam Ogubai emphasized the urgency of governments swiftly paying AI startups to maintain business ; and showcased how Zindi's platform emerged as a crucial facilitator in the collaborative process. The session culminated with Daniel C. Doppler, Quicktext's President, skillfully demonstrating the importance of AI and big data in the hospitality industry, benefiting both the tourism giants and end users.
The event concluded with a speed networking session, encouraging further engagement and interaction with the speakers.
This special event has showcased how collaborative efforts can drive innovation, address challenges, and pave the way for a future with AI.
