On Friday, 17 July 2026, the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) marked Nelson Mandela Day by coordinating a meaningful community initiative at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in partnership with Zip Zap Circus and the support of our members.
The day brought together businesses and partners to share the spirit of Mandela Day through service and compassion. Children at the hospital were treated to an uplifting circus performance before receiving thoughtfully prepared goodie bags, bringing smiles, laughter, and moments of joy to their day.
Inspired by Nelson Mandela's legacy of dedicating 67 years to the fight for justice, equality and human dignity, the initiative was a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
A heartfelt thank you to Zip Zap Circus, the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, and our membercompanies who contributed to making this initiative possible. Together, we honoured Madiba's legacy through service, compassion, and community.
