French Ambassador welcomes FSACCI’s 45th Anniversary Gala in Johannesburg
The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) will mark a major milestone with its Annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, 5 June 2025, in Benmore Gardens, Sandton. The event celebrates 45 years of business excellence and sustained economic ties between France and South Africa.
This exclusive evening will bring together French and South African business leaders, institutional partners, and diplomatic representatives to celebrate FSACCI’s role in driving meaningful trade partnerships between the two countries.
His Excellency David Martinon, French Ambassador to South Africa, Lesotho, and Malawi, has expressed strong support for FSACCI’s 45th anniversary initiatives. Speaking at a recent Recent celebration of our 45 in Cape Town, he said:
“It’s always a pleasure to see how thriving and prosperous the French business community is here. FSACCI’s work is not only about creating a bond, but about building an alliance, and I hope a long-lasting alliance.”
Ambassador Martinon also highlighted the presence of leading French companies in South Africa, recalling upcoming projects by TotalEnergies, EDF, Canal+, and Club Med as examples of continued French investment in the region, among many others.
He added, “New investments are coming. The partnership between our two countries continues to grow in strength and scope.”
The Gala Dinner will reflect on the Chamber’s legacy while looking ahead to the next chapter of Franco-South African business collaboration. Trade between South Africa and France is thriving, as illustrated by the recent bilateral business forums held in Johannesburg (October 2024) and Paris (May 2025).
