FSACCI Chairman’s End-of-Year Message: Reflecting on 2025 and Looking Ahead to 2026
Dear FSACCI Members,
As we approach the end of 2025, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and active engagement within the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI). Thanks to your commitment, our network has continued to expand, our initiatives have gained momentum, and our community remains a dynamic and influential voice within the bilateral business landscape.
This year was particularly meaningful, as it marked the 45th anniversary of the FSACCI — a milestone that reflects decades of collaboration, resilience, and shared ambition between the French and South African business communities.
It was also a year marked by historic engagement, notably with the first South Africa Investment Conference held in France, organised by the South African Presidency and attended by Vice-President Paul Mashatile, ten ministers, and 110 South African companies. This high-level initiative reaffirmed the strong and growing ambition to deepen trade and investment ties between our two countries.
Despite a complex global geopolitical environment, South African companies and French companies operating in South Africa — as well as South African businesses developing activities in France — continue to grow, invest, and strengthen their partnerships.
During the G20 last week, we also had the opportunity to further consolidate these ties through the establishment of the Business Council, an initiative first discussed between the French President and the South African Vice-President in May 2025 in France.
Throughout the year, we have fostered strong bilateral relationships and maintained regular exchanges with numerous South African and French ministers, the most recent being with the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty, Mr Roland Lescure.
Please note that your 2025 membership will end on 31 December 2025 (except for new members who joined after October 2025). You will receive your renewal invoice in January 2026, covering your membership until 31 December 2026.
