Customer Services Executive - Assistance

Role / Overview:
To ensure that the clients and members of International SOS receive the highest quality of assistance each and every time they contact our organization, by answering all requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner and according to defined protocols.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
· Customer service orientated
· Working knowledge of CRM technology
· IT literate and proficient in the usage of computer software including Microsoft Outlook and Word, and experience working a database is preferable.
· Able to communicate at all levels
· Ability to write, speak and listen effectively
· Team player
· Identifies and acts on potential problems and / or difficulties
· Demonstrates effective problem solving skills and lateral thinking
· Takes initiative, demonstrates responsibility
· Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize in a timely and effective manner
· General knowledge of world geography but particularly Sub-Saharan Africa desirable

Required Work Experience:
· Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge within a general customer service focused environment.
· Volunteer or Internships exposure an advantage.
· Travel or Study-Abroad experience (Studies, Personal, Volunteer) would be an advantage.

Required Qualifications:
· Completed Grade 12 / Matric.
· Tertiary education preferable
· Typing speed of 40 wpm
· Proficient in Web Browsing and Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word)

Required Languages:
· Excellent written and spoken French is an explicit requirement of the role, and a second language is an advantage – Portuguese and / or English (preferable)
· Fluency or proficiency in any other language is preferred

· Display consistent punctuality and attendance
· Remains calm and logical and professional in work ethic
· Show commitment to the team
· Displays a "can-do" attitude, results driven and gets things done
· Alignment with the Intl.SOS values of Passion, Expertise, Respect and Care

Job Conditions / Contractual:
· Shift work across the Assistance, Response Centre and Medical Transportation platforms in accordance with a pre-published duty roster (24 hours a day, 365 days a year)
