Introducing FSACCI's New PR & Communications Specialist, Gail Vermaak
The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) is delighted to welcome Gail Vermaak as our new PR & Communications Specialist.
Gail joins the Chamber with a diverse professional background spanning communications, project management, stakeholder engagement and international development. Throughout her career, she has embraced opportunities across a wide range of sectors - including education, agriculture, hospitality, international development and artificial intelligence initiatives - building a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by organisations in different industries.
Having lived and worked in South Africa, France and Guinea, Gail brings an international perspective and a passion for cross-cultural collaboration. Originally from South Africa, she completed a Master's degree in International Development Studies at the University of Grenoble in France. This experience proved to be foundational in shaping her professional journey which has since included working at the French Embassy before joining FSACCI.
In her role as PR & Communications Specialist, Gail will be responsible for strengthening the Chamber's communications, showcasing the achievements of its members, promoting events and initiatives and helping to further enhance FSACCI's presence within the Franco-South African business community.
Outside of work, Gail describes herself as calm natured, but with a love for adventure and exploring new places. She is passionate about environmental restoration and has a deep appreciation for nature, with a particular love of plants and animals. Whether building relationships across cultures or spending time outdoors, she is driven by curiosity, connection and a desire to make a positive impact.
