Member News | A New Chapter for Our Creative Space in Soweto
On Sunday, 6 September 2026, we celebrated the official launch of an exciting new partnership as Alliance Française Soweto became a new stop on the Red Bus Soweto Tour.
Our creative space, located at Alliance Française Soweto, is proud to be part of this initiative, bringing together tourism, culture, creativity and local enterprise in one of Johannesburg’s most vibrant communities.
The partnership offers visitors an opportunity to experience Soweto beyond traditional sightseeing by connecting with local creativity, craftsmanship and authentic community experiences. For us, it is an important step in showcasing locally produced products to both local and international visitors.
The launch brought together partners, community members and guests to celebrate the potential of this collaboration and its contribution to Soweto’s growing tourism and cultural economy.
We look forward to welcoming Red Bus visitors to our creative space, sharing our story and products, and contributing to meaningful experiences that encourage deeper connections with Soweto and its creative community.
We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will create for tourism, entrepreneurship, cultural exchange and local economic development.
