Member News | EnviroServ Appoints Jerome Govender as Group CEO
EnviroServ has appointed Jerome Govender as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 August 2026.
Jerome brings more than 25 years of executive and industry experience across the mining, construction and infrastructure sectors. He has held several senior leadership positions, including CEO of Murray & Roberts Construction, Managing Director of Aveng/Moolmans Mining, CEO of the Bombela Concession Company, which was responsible for the development and operation of the Gautrain, and most recently CEO of Concor.
He holds a BSc in Quantity Surveying and an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand.
His experience in leading complex businesses, delivering major infrastructure projects and working within public-private partnerships will support EnviroServ’s continued growth across the waste, water and environmental services sectors.
Under Jerome’s leadership, EnviroServ will remain committed to providing safe, reliable and sustainable environmental solutions to its clients. The company will continue to invest in its people, infrastructure and capabilities, while drawing on the international expertise and technologies of the broader SUEZ Group.
Over the coming months, Jerome will engage with EnviroServ’s key clients and stakeholders and looks forward to meeting them personally.
EnviroServ looks forward to continuing its work with clients and stakeholders as the company builds on its position in the environmental services sector.
