Member News | France takes centre stage at Fame Week Africa 2026

France is the Destination Focus for Fame Week Africa which takes place from 28 October to 1 November 2026 in Cape Town. The event brings together film, television, music, fashion and entertainment industries through four interconnected events; MIP Africa, Muziki Africa, African Fashion Forum and the Shorts Film Festival. As the Destination Focus, France aims to support and strengthen long term creative and business partnerships with the cultural and creative industries in South Africa and across the African continent.
The event connects creators, producers, investors, distributors, broadcasters and decision-makers from across Africa and beyond. France will also host a dedicated pavilion and a professional delegation at the event. The French delegation brings together professionals from mainland France, Réunion Island, and representatives of various cultural programmes. Through a programme of screenings, roundtable discussions, professional meetings, showcases, and fashion presentations, Fame Week Africa provides a platform for exchange, knowledge-sharing, and the development of new partnerships between French and African creatives.
Fame Week Africa offers a unique opportunity to shape renewed creative partnerships between Africa and France.
