Come and learn how to find business opportunities in social problems! 

Our Member Positive Planet International will be telling you how shared value is a management strategy in which companies find business opportunities in social problems.

While philanthropy and CSR focus efforts focus on “giving back” or minimizing the harm business has on society, shared value focuses company leaders on maximizing the competitive value of solving social problems in new customers and markets, cost savings, talent retention, and more.

Shared value goes further by looking not only at external stakeholders but also internally at the staff. In recent years the corporate world has developed frameworks and approaches to aid the process incorporating more socially oriented business practices. Specific industries such as financial services have gone as far as developing social rating benchmarks which serve as the basis for developing and sustainably integrating social objectives and management practices in their businesses.

PPI together with Inclusion [Social Rating] will be hosting a talk on Shared value and social performance management in the corporate context.
