This event is organised by SwissCham Southern Africa, in collaboration with European bilateral chambers, including the Austrian Business Chamber in South Africa (ABC), Belgian Chamber of Commerce in South Africa (BCCSA), British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa, French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI), Italian-South African Chamber of Trade and Industries, Nordic–South African Business Association, and the South African Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (SAPCC).

In recognition of International Women’s Day, we are pleased to host Saray Khumalo, award-winning mountaineer, expedition leader, author, and transformational coach.

In 2019, after three previous attempts, Saray successfully summited Mount Everest, becoming the first Black African woman to conquer Everest and complete the Seven Summits challenge. Her journey reflects resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome setbacks.

Beyond her mountaineering achievements, Saray is a seasoned business executive and globally recognised coach. She works with entrepreneurs, executives, and teams to help them unlock potential and achieve sustainable success. She is also the founder of Summits With a Purpose, an initiative that supports literacy and education by building libraries in disadvantaged schools across Africa.

This event offers an opportunity to celebrate women’s achievements, draw inspiration from lived experience, and reflect on leadership, resilience, and personal growth. Attendees are encouraged to invite female colleagues, associates, and friends to join this inspiring gathering.

Signed copies of Saray Khumalo’s book, My Journey to the Top of the World, will be available for purchase
