ABOUT THE SPEAKER

> Henning Snyman, Security Director - Africa, TSS Control Risk
Henning joined International SOS and Control Risks in January 2016. He is now Security Director for Africa after acting as Regional Security Manager for Africa and as Coordinating Security Operations Manager for the Middle East, North, East and Southern Africa region. Henning supports clients by providing analysis, advice, training, consulting, and security assistance, in collaboration with a team of International SOS travel risk management specialists, made up of a wide variety of nationalities and professional backgrounds ranging from military, police, intelligence and academia. During the escalation in South Sudan in 2016, Henning was deployed to Nairobi and Juba as part of the Incident Management Team. His career spans over two decades and covers much of the African continent, beginning with a commission as an officer in the South African Defence Force, before taking on a commercial role in the aviation security industry. Prior to joining International SOS-Control Risks, Henning worked as a consultant for various airlines, ship owners and governments throughout the continent. He has also conducted extensive research on security issues in the Horn of Africa for one of the most prominent think-tanks in the region.
