Bertrand FurnoHead of the Regional Economic Department at the Embassy of France to South Africa

Graduated from the National School of Administration (ENA) Bertrand Furno has served since 1995 as Economic Counsellor in French Embassies in Europe, Asia, North Africa and the US (permanent mission to the UN). He was also Consul General of France in Guangzhou (China) between 2014 and 2017. After a two years stay in Paris as Auditor at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Treasury Board) he is happy to join our Embassy in Pretoria as head of the Regional Economic Department. The focus of his mission is to analyse the evolution of the economies of the region and to promote the partnership between French and South African companies notably in the field of FDIs. And in this regard to work closely with our vibrant business community in JoBurg and Cape Town.
