CROSSCALL: Wins contract with SNCF (National railtrain in France) for a value of R140 Million

French phone maker Crosscall, an expert in rugged and waterproof handsets, has been selected by national rail company SNCF to equip a workforce of 21,000 train inspectors with mobile devices.

Following a tender process, Crosscall secured a contract worth around EUR 8 million over three years, strengthening its credentials in the B2B and public sector markets. These two market segments accounted for half of the company's EUR 71.6 million annual revenues in 2018.

This project has been on going for 4 months of testing about handset resistance / usage / compatibility with 15 embedded internal application on the phone. 

Founded in 2009, Crosscall sold 2 million devices last year. The company is based in Aix-en-Provence and has around 140 employees. Its products are available across 20,000 points of sale in France and abroad. Its growing presence currently covers thirteen European countries, as well as South Africa, Tunisia and Morocco.

From the South Africa point of view, Crosscall has equiped Nelson Mandela University employee with the 950 Core X3 - with Instacom PTT application.

They have currently more than 50 companies testing Crosscall devices and we think more than 60 companies are already using Crosscall devices from security industry. This shows the strong development of Crosscall globally and in South Africa.
