Sizanani

Background:
The Sizanani mentorship programme is a new member of the FSACCI. This NGO has a 10-year track record of guiding, supporting and mentoring high school learners from Alexandra Township in Johannesburg. The mentors (professionals) play a crucial role in building self-esteem of those learners and providing learners with information, counselling, motivation, communication skills or study tips. Last year, 91 mentors – including 43 French expatriates and VIE – coached 150 learners.

Activities:
Sizanani is looking for partnerships with companies to promote the involvement of their staff in our activities and help our university students to find in-service training and graduate internships in various fields (engineering, accounting, IT, industrial, psychology, etc).
The students are also in need of donations of used computers and bursaries.
Sizanani is BEE accredited.
