FSACCI Makes a Difference on Mandela Day at The Johannesburg Children's Home
The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) is proud to share their participation in Mandela Day this year, lending a helping hand to The Johannesburg Children's Home.
Established in 1892, The Johannesburg Children's Home is a cornerstone of our city, providing a haven for up to 64 needy children. The establishment takes in children aged between 3 and 21 who need care by the Children’s Court. They are given a fresh start, live in the community and benefit from development, education, and therapy programs with dedicated staff support.
In the spirit of Nelson Mandela's lifelong commitment to service, FSACCI members joined forces with the Home on Mandela Day, dedicating their 67 minutes to a project that will leave a lasting impact.
The FSACCI team divided and conquered!
Team Spirit Inside:
Gabriella Brondani of Urban Espresso, Neo Mohale of Tshiamo Consulting Services, and Martha Mabena, FSACCI's Event Coordinator, tackled the important task of folding donated clothes. Their efforts may seem small, but they freed up valuable time for the Home's staff to focus on the children's needs.
Team Beautify Outside:
FSACCI's General Manager Erwanne Meilhoc, Margaux Schaubroeck Events, Communication and Marketing Manager, and Neo Motloung Communication & Marketing Specialist donned their painting gloves and transformed the Johannesburg Children's Home palisade fence. This not only beautified the space but also contributed to a sense of security and well-being for the children who reside there.
This Mandela Day initiative exemplifies FSACCI's commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the South African community. By working together, the FSACCI team not only made a tangible difference but also honored the legacy of Madiba through acts of service.
