France – South Africa Investment Week Set to Strengthen Bilateral Business Ties
The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) will take part in the upcoming France – South Africa Investment Week in Paris, scheduled for 21 and 22 May 2025.
Organised in partnership by the South African Embassy in France and the South Africa’s Deputy President office , Paul Mashatile in partnership with FSACCI, MEDEF International, Bpifrance, the forum will welcome a high-level delegation.
He will be joined by several key ministers, including:

Hon. Barbara Creecy (Transport)
Hon. Nobuhle Nkabane (Higher Education and Training)
Hon. Dr. Pakishe Aaron Motsoaledi (Health)

Hon. Gayton McKenzie (Sport, Arts and Culture)
Hon. Dr. David Masondo (Deputy Minister of Finance)
Hon. Zuko Godimpi (Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry)
Over the course of the two days, the forum will cover a range of investment-focused topics. The agenda on 21 May will include discussions on manufacturing, energy infrastructure, logistics, human capital development, and capital markets.
Dr. Yves Guénon, Chairman of FSACCI, along with the Chamber’s Director Sébastien De Place and General Manager Erwanne Meilhoc, will participate in the session focused on skills development and inclusive economic growth.
On 22 May, business roundtables will bring together French and South African companies to explore potential investment and partnership opportunities.
This forum will aim to deepen economic ties and highlight South Africa’s current priorities for reform, investment, and regional growth.
France is the 14th largest investor in South Africa, with about 400 French companies investing in sectors such as financial services, renewable energy, rail, chemicals, oil and gas, to mention but a few.
French companies have played a pivotal role in the Presidential Investment Conference. Since the first Presidential Investment Conference hosted in 2018, French companies have committed more than R70 billion with the majority of projects either completed or being implemented.
