On Tuesday 11th of February, International SOS's expert, Dr Christophe Cavanna [Regional Medical Doctor for Central Africa] presented an update on the current outbreak of the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and provided important recommendations for businesses and employers to guard themselves against the risk of a possible outbreak in South Africa.
In particular, Dr. Christophe Cavanna insisted that all corporates should develop an Infectious Disease Outbreak Response Plan in order to:
• Reduce the transmission among staff
• Protect employees who are at higher risk for adverse health complications
• Maintain business operations
