Food & Wine Trends in South Africa, alcohol consumption new rules in South Africa, potential areas of cooperation with the French South-African Agricultural Institute... Welcome to the first meeting of our Food&Beverage committee !

The FSAGRI is a cooperation project between the French and South African governments which aim is to train students from previously disadvantage universities on food science and technology and to develop research and development programmes in agrofood. The first phase of the FSAGRI is implemented at the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape. The deputy programme director will present you the FSAGRI programme and the potential areas of cooperation with agribusiness companies (internship, research and development, scholarships, lectures…).


> Camille TRICOIRE is Senior Trade Adviser « Agriculture & Food Industries » at Business France South Africa since 2014.
> Guillaume FURRI is Counsellor for agricultural affairs for southern Africa at the Department of Economic Affairs in Southern Africa (Embassy of France in South Africa).
> Catherine CONSTANT is the deputy programme director of the French South-African Agricultural Institute (F’SAGRI)

This Committee is an opportunity for F&B representative (Wine importers and producers, Food importers and producers, Hotels/restaurants, Retail, and Logistics) to discuss common topics: distribution, marketing, certain aspects of rules and regulations. The goal of the Committee is to exchange views on the market, gives/receives advice and creates synergies between members on common issues.)
