French companies announce R50bn in new South African investments

French companies have announced R50-billion of new investments in South Africa during the 4th South African Investment Conference (SAIC).

President Cyril Ramaphosa officially opened the much-anticipated fourth South African Investment Conference (SAIC) at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on Thursday, 24 March. 

During the event, French companies have announced R50-billion of new investments in South Africa in different sectors, including energy, health, tourism, mobility, retail, manufacturing and agro-industry. 

The R50 billion investment pledge to South Africa affirms our commitment to grow in South Africa with South Africa, as we restart the economy, French companies are committed to investing in South Africa to create jobs and grow the economy's key sector.
