In just a few weeks, we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary

What began as a small cheese business primarily serving the French expatriate community in Morningside, Johannesburg, has grown into a well-recognised brand among cheese lovers across Johannesburg and other regions of South Africa.
By importing high-quality French cheeses and offering them at competitive prices with efficient stock turnover, LA CHEESERIE has established itself as a respected and thriving business. Our exhaustive cheese selection is a first in South Africa, with more than 50 cheeses in our catalogue.
We proudly serve expatriates, local clients, and corporate partners alike. Our selective retail distribution network continues to expand steadily.
In addition to our core cheese offering, we now import and sell a curated range of French specialties, primarily duck gastronomy products. Our selection includes Foie Gras, Duck Confit and Terrines from a consistently award-winning producer in South-West France.
2025 was a particularly successful year, both with our direct clients and at prestigious corporate events.
Among others, LA CHEESERIE was the exclusive cheese supplier for:
· The 14 July (Bastille Day) Celebration at the French Embassy in Pretoria
· The European Film Festival Opening Night in Pretoria
· The Lycée Jules Verne Annual Cheese & Wine Evening in Johannesburg
· The Beaujolais Nouveau Evening hosted by the French South African Chamber of Commerce in Johannesburg
We now service most regions of South Africa, with regular deliveries to Cape Town and surrounding areas, KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo.
Through the import and promotion of authentic French cheeses, LA CHEESERIE is proud to act as an ambassador of France’s unique and iconic gastronomic heritage.
