A Milestone Event for Hospitality Training in South Africa
On February 13th, NukaKamma, the hospitality school of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) member Addo Africa Home Lodge (Molo Lolo), hosted a distinguished gathering at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. The event brought together key figures, including French Ambassador David Martinon and French Consul General Sophie Bel, alongside Nukakamma founder Laurence Diaz Armand.
The aim was to showcase NukaKamma's unique model, which provides holistic training to young individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. This includes intensive training at the Addo campus, followed by internships in top establishments.
The event highlighted the crucial role of partnerships, with special thanks to the French Embassy, Belmond, Accor, Moët Hennessy, and numerous other industry leaders who support the program.
A major milestone was announced: NukaKamma will be training 130 young talents for the upcoming Club Med resort in Durban, solidifying its position as a leading provider of high-quality hospitality training in South Africa.
This event underscores the commitment of NukaKamma and its partners, including FSACCI platinum member Club Med, to creating a more inclusive and skilled hospitality workforce in the country.
