Africa 54, AGS Group’s Africa project

The AGS Group was founded in 1974 by Mr Isaac Taïeb and specialises in global solutions for international mobility. Today it celebrates its Africa 54 project. Twenty-three years after opening its first branch in Ivory Coast, the French family business is bringing its service offering to Asmara, Eritrea. As the first private company to have a presence in each of the 54 African countries, with a total of 64 locations, AGS contributes to the opening of emerging markets by facilitating mobility to, from and within these countries, while boosting the local economy through job creation.

AGS, diverse mobility services

The Group’s core business of removal and storage services has been added to over the years, and AGS now also provides office removals and premier relocation services for expatriates of multinational organisations. These range of services are now offered in all 54 countries of the African continent, ensuring consistent quality from Cairo to Cape Town, and from Abidjan to Nairobi.

Social and environmental responsibility

AGS is also committed to the sustainable development of communities, particularly through a partnership with the NGO Planète Urgence, and its participation in the reforestation of regions sensitive to climate change, such as Mali and Madagascar in Africa. As a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, the Group is committed to the development of responsible and ethical behaviour within its companies.

Three big events will be held in September to celebrate our Africa 54 project. The first one will take place on the 20th in Johannesburg, the second in Paris on the 27th, and the last event will be held in London on the 29th.
