AI In Africa Final | And the winner is...
On Saturday the 7th of December Fliptin Technologies in collaboration with the Kgalema Mothlante Foundation hosted the the finale of #AIinAfrica
Congratulations to the #AIinAfrica winners!
The teams were challenged to create solutions for Cyberbullying, Bias in AI and Climate Change.
The winning team created an app to combat Gender-Based Violence (GBV). An anonymous community which helps victims of abuse and provides emotional support through intepretation of emotional state and panic button emergency services. It uses a Multi-lingual chatbot to cater to different communities.
Runner up was Climate Change app World Wide Green, which uses satellite feeds and predictive modelling to monitor and report on the levels of green house gases caused by human activity, provides education and information on how to switch to more environmentally friendly behaviour .
