Back to | Building a Workplace where equality thrives !
In partnership with Mazars in South Africa, the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted for the 2nd consecutive year a special event in celebration of Women's Month.
The theme this year was 'Building a workplace where equality thrives" with a focus on ageism that women face in the workplace, when they occupy leadership roles.
The session started off with Meera Bhana (MBA) giving the attendees some insights into her MBA research which focused on how women still face struggles in their careers and education still purely because of their gender.
Our panellists Thuli Phiri, Daphney Willem, Jatin Kasan, Cedric Serre, who varied in age shared their various experiences - guided by the moderator of the day Thulisile Jessica Mgidi, peeled back the curtain on facing ageism on all fronts, whether you're young or old. As it never goes away when you're a woman. That and how culture in SA play a big part in the workplace.
Throughout the discussion audiences and had a chance to contribute to the dialogue by asking questions to each of the speakers. Creating an amazingly interactive and collaborative atmosphere.
Attendees and speakers walked away with a goodies bag from Clarins, after a good networking session.
We'd like to thank our panellists who took the time to share their stories, the attendees for engaging and congratulate our partners Mazars in South Africa, Groupe Clarins, and Skills Village for a wonderful event.
