Danone launches Women in Dairy programme
Our gold member Danone Southern Africa launched the Women in Dairy: Future Farmers programme to support women in the farming sector are often underrepresented and overlooked.
The priority is to upskill them in manufacturing, quality, operations, marketing and commercial and retail positioning. This programme is part of Danone’s sustainability goals in 2023, which prioritise Health, Nature and People.
The hope is that if more women see women in farming being given opportunities, that more will be encouraged to join the industry.
