FSACCI Facilitates Exclusive Site Visits for French Delegations
On Tuesday, February 11, FSACCI organized and facilitated two insightful site visits for delegations providing valuable opportunities to explore South African industry leaders in sustainability and innovation.
The first delegation visited Danone's Boksburg factory, where they received a comprehensive overview of the facility’s operations. The visit began with a safety briefing from the SHE team, followed by an in-depth look at the factory’s end-to-end processes, including people management, product manufacturing, processing, and filling lines. The delegation also gained insight into Danone’s commitment to Regenerative Agriculture and its broader sustainability initiatives, before concluding the visit with a tour of the production line and the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant.

Meanwhile, the second delegation explored Interwaste’s Klinkerstene Landfill in Delmas. The program featured a detailed presentation of the Class A landfill facility, highlighting best practices in waste management and environmental compliance. A key focus was the effluent treatment plant, which the delegation had the opportunity to tour in-depth, learning about advanced waste processing and sustainability solutions.
These visits reflect FSACCI’s role in fostering meaningful business connections and knowledge-sharing between South Africa and France, strengthening collaboration in key industries.
