Global Power Producer ENGIE Embraces Ambition to Decarbonize European Union's Economy

During the European Investment Bank Forum on February 7th, 2024, ENGIE's Executive Vice President / DGA Claire Waysand expressed the company's commitment to decarbonizing the European Union's economy.

Waysand made these remarks during a panel discussion, emphasizing ENGIE's dedication to investing in the energy transition.

"We allocate more than three-quarters of our growth investment capital to energy transition, whether it's renewable energy or decentralized solutions to decarbonize," stated Waysand.

Highlighting the importance of a supportive public framework, Waysand commended Europe's proactive stance in setting ambitious targets. "What we see as important is the public framework that is put in place. I think it is great that in Europe we are ahead of other continents for setting ourselves some ambitious targets to decarbonize," she added.
