News | AfCFTA Youth Symposium
From 21st to 23rd August, the Government of Zambia in collaboration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat hosted the inaugural AfCFTA Youth Symposium.
The Youth Symposium was held under the theme: Igniting the Future for Youth in Trade, in recognition of the commitment of the 13th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
The goal was to create a platform for young leaders and entrepreneurs across Africa to have direct interactions with the Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, policymakers, opinion leaders, academia, and financial institutions to harness AfCFTA's potential.
It is anticipated that by 2035, there will be $7 trillion worth of opportunities for SMEs and young entrepreneurs to export across the African market's regions.
