HSBC Africa Conference 2019

HSBC is pleased to invite you to HSBC's 2nd Annual Africa Conference in Cape Town in November 2019.

The conference takes the form of two days of one-on-one meetings on Wednesday and Thursday, providing a timely opportunity for investors to meet with management teams as 2019 draws to a close. This will be followed by a Macro Day on Friday, where investors will have an opportunity to hear from several internal and external expert speakers.

The Macro Day will cover a range of topical economic and policy issues including monetary and fiscal policy, policy refoms to get growth and job creation going, energy sector developments and reform, education and skills and the post-election political climate.

Confirmed speakers include Rashad Cassim (South African Reserve Bank Deputy Governor), Ian Stuart (Acting Deputy Director-General: National Treasury: Budget Office), Professor Anton Eberhard (UCT), Professor Richard Calland (UCT) and Nick Spaull (Stellenbosch University).

Senior members of HSBC's Global Research including Stephen King (Senior Economic Advisor), David Bloom (Global Head of FX Strategy), Murat Ulgen (Global Head of Eerging Markets Research) and David Faulkner (South Africa & SSA Economist), will provide HSBC's current thinking on the global economy and emerging markets.
