Kasada Launches Reimagined Cape Grace Hotel, Showcasing Luxury and Sustainability
Kasada proudly celebrated the official launch of the reimagined Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. This milestone follows an extensive refurbishment that has truly redefined this iconic property.
We were honored to be joined by South Africa’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Parks Tau, along with senior management from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, including Omer Acar, CEO Raffles & Fairmont and Sami Nasser, Global Chief Operating Officer.
Acquired by Kasada in March 2022, we have successfully applied our deep expertise in hospitality redevelopment and investment to transform this landmark building. The Cape Grace has undergone a remarkable nine-month renovation led by the renowned interior and architecture firm 1508 London.
This transformation has significantly elevated the hotel’s offerings, featuring two outstanding culinary venues, including the newly reintroduced Bascule Bar.
With its unparalleled location on Cape Town's V&A Waterfront, the hotel boasts 112 rooms and suites that offer breathtaking views of the harbor, marina, or Table Mountain. The design incorporates elements inspired by nature and showcases unique artwork that reflects Africa's rich heritage and culture making it poised to captivate both local and international guests alike.
The Cape Grace stands out not only for its luxurious accommodations but also for its commitment to sustainability, making it the only hotel in South Africa to have achieved the esteemed Green Key certification. This recognition underscores our dedication to responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.
As a responsible investor in South Africa, we see this investment as a key opportunity to further our dedication to supporting economic and socio-economic growth through the tourism and hospitality sectors. We eagerly anticipate the continued legacy of The Cape Grace as the leading luxury hotel in Africa.
