FSACCI Members Absa and Ozow Driving Financial Inclusion

The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) members Absa and Ozow are at the forefront of driving financial inclusion in South Africa. The two companies are collaborating to break down barriers and provide innovative payment solutions that cater to the needs of all South Africans.

At a recent Absa Pay partnership event, Subash Sharma, Absa Group’s Chief Digital Officer for Everyday Banking, and Thomas Pays, CEO of Ozow, discussed the power of fintech collaboration in transforming the financial landscape.

Sharma emphasized the importance of addressing the accessibility challenges faced by many South Africans: “We’ve created barriers and accessibility issues, be it in rural areas, geographic regions, or other factors. We’re trying to think holistically about the problem and bring innovative solutions to the market. By partnering with companies like Ozow, we can leverage their expertise and technology to reach a wider audience and deliver faster, more efficient payment solutions.”

The partnership between Absa and Ozow demonstrates the commitment of both companies to building financial inclusion and empowering South Africans. Both companies aim to create a more inclusive and accessible financial future for all.
