Alstom Wins Red Dot Award for Innovative Train Design

The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) is proud to congratulate our platinum member, Alstom, on their recent achievement. Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility solutions, has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024 for their IC5 Coradia Stream regional train, developed in collaboration with DSB, the national Danish railway operator.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's most esteemed design competitions, recognizing excellence across various design fields. This win highlights Alstom's commitment to innovation and creating not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing transportation solutions.

A Collaboration Built on Shared Values

The IC5 Coradia Stream is a testament to the successful partnership between Alstom and DSB. Designed to reflect the values and cater to the needs of the Danish people, the train embodies integrity and authenticity.

Alstom, in collaboration with DSB, has incorporated natural materials like wood and metal, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior lighting is also meticulously designed for optimal passenger experience, offering various brightness levels and harmonious colour combinations to enhance the navigation and overall comfort.
