Home Affairs Visa Reform to Ease Entry for French Firms

French companies in African Region and in general, whose employees are not visa-exempt, will benefit from new Home Affairs policy development, says Angelika Yakovchuk, Partner and the Head of Immigration Department at Schröder Attorneys Inc. Yakovchuk, who processed high volumes of visas on behalf of her clients for Energy Week and other flagship events, outlines the key benefits as follows –

  • This reform introduces a secure, streamlined, high-volume visa processing pathway for international events hosted in South Africa.
  • Accelerates digital, coordinated visa processing to ensure timely attendance of delegations, performers, and staff - a secure avenue to process large group visa applications tied to events, reducing delays.
  • Reduces red tape through digital reform.

The development may afford South Africa a competitive advantage by strengthening the country’s appeal as a host for world-class conferences, exhibitions, sporting events, and cultural happenings, thereby at the same time promoting economic impact and job creation that necessarily follow such events.
