FSACCI Network Supports Youth Employment Through Mentorship and Member Opportunities
The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) continues to link training initiatives with real employment opportunities for young graduates. In partnership with the Sizanani Mentorship Programme and the Group RATP Foundation, the Chamber supports programmes that prepare job seekers and connect them with its member network.
Following a recent mock interview initiative, previously covered by FSACCI, one of the participants has now entered the workforce through a Chamber member. Lebogang Lesufi, who attended the session, has started a new role as an accountant at Natondi Tours, a member of FSACCI.
Her appointment shows a direct outcome of the programme, where training and mentorship lead to employment within the Chamber’s business community.
“I’d like to thank you for the opportunity to attend mock interview and get feedback about it. It was my first time attending a physical interview and with all of that I think I did well. My first interview was not really good as I was nervous and what I learned is that I must stay calm so that I can be confident in answering questions and treat the interview as I am having a conversation with a human being who want to know about me,” said Lebogang Lesufi.
She explained how the experience improved her approach. “My second interview was way better as I was confident. I learned that I must know the mission, values and culture of the company and do the research about it,” she said.
Natondi Tours is a multilingual tour operator and destination management company, and a member of the Chamber. The company delivers travel services across Africa for both leisure and business clients.
This outcome reflects the role FSACCI and its partners play in supporting youth employment. Through mentorship, practical training, and access to its members, the Chamber helps young professionals move from preparation into the workplace.
