The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI), in partnership with the Sizanani Mentorship Programme, hosted a mock interview session on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, at the Chamber’s offices in Sandton. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to support young job seekers as they prepare to enter the workforce.
The session brought together 11 unemployed graduates who are currently enrolled in a training programme funded by the Group RATP Foundation. The graduates met with several human resources professionals who conducted structured mock interviews and provided direct feedback on interview skills, communication, and professional presentation.
Three HR professionals from Bombela Operating Company - the main sponsor of this initiative - and other organisations volunteered their time to interview participants and share practical advice drawn from their recruitment experience.
For many participants, the session marked their first formal interview experience. Msizi Mulaudzi, who holds a diploma in business management, said the exercise helped build confidence. He noted that although he felt nervous at first, the discussion with the interview panel proved valuable and informative.
The mock interview session forms part of a broader mentorship and training programme designed to equip young graduates with practical skills, professional exposure, and access to networks that support their transition into employment.
