Celebrating Women's Month: Danone’s Leanne Kiezer and Her Marathon Pour Tous Journey
In a remarkable celebration of Women's Month, Leanne Kiezer, Head of Corporate Affairs at Danone, represented both her company and South Africa with pride at the Marathon Pour Tous in Paris on August 10th, 2024.
As an official partner of the Paris Olympics 2024, Danone secured entries to this historic event, which, for the first time, allowed the general public to run the Olympic marathon and 10km route, right between the official men’s and women’s Olympic races.
Danone, true to its commitment to promoting health and wellness, hosted a global competition to encourage physical activity among its employees.
Leanne was one of the 24 lucky Danoners worldwide who earned a coveted spot through a series of challenges, embodying the spirit of wellness that Danone champions.
The Marathon Pour Tous was a night to remember, as runners raced past Paris’ iconic historical sites, beautifully illuminated and accompanied by the cheers of thousands of Parisians shouting, “Allez, allez, allez!”
Leanne described the overwhelming support, especially for South Africa, as a source of immense pride and motivation.
