Strengthening Member Value Through Events and Digital Innovation

Cynthia Kalenga-Tshimpumpu, Event & Experience Manager at FSACCI, recently participated in the CCI France International Communication, Events & Membership Seminar, held in Paris from 3–5 March 2026. The seminar brought together professionals from across the global network to exchange best practices and explore new approaches to member engagement.
The programme placed strong emphasis on the evolving role of events as strategic tools , not only to connect members, but to drive engagement, enhance retention, and support business development. Through interactive sessions and peer exchanges, participants shared insights on how to design impactful, high-value events that respond to members’ expectations while strengthening the visibility and positioning of their chambers.
A key focus was also placed on the use of digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems such as Odoo, as well as emerging AI-driven solutions. These tools are increasingly enabling chambers to optimise event management, personalise communication, and better understand member needs.
In addition, discussions around membership journeys, from onboarding to long-term retention, highlighted the importance of delivering a consistent and meaningful experience at every stage of engagement.
Beyond the sessions, the seminar provided valuable opportunities to connect with peers across the network, fostering collaboration and opening avenues for future cross-chamber initiatives.
