On Wednesday, 26 February 2025, the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) hosted an online webinar focused on business and investment opportunities in Knysna and the Eden District.
Patrick Ceillier, Founder and Director at Tree 2.1 and elected official at the Greater Knysna Business Chamber, led the session. He provided an overview of the region’s economic landscape and outlined the sectors driving its development, including the marine industry, green energy and sustainability, infrastructure development, tourism, and small business and industry development.
The presentation was enhanced by Knysna enthusiasts who came to reinforce the investment opportunities, notably with the presence of the former mayor of Knysna, representatives of the municipality and the Garden Route District.
Participants gained practical insights into how these sectors are shaping growth in Knysna and how businesses can engage with them. The session attracted FSACCI members and non-members interested in exploring new markets and expanding their business footprint in one of South Africa’s fastest-growing regions.
The webinar also introduced the work of the Greater Knysna Business Chamber and its role in supporting local economic development and creating business opportunities in the area.
The event formed part of FSACCI’s broader efforts to support business growth by providing relevant economic intelligence and promoting regional engagement.
