Création Africa: Top 50 Entrepreneurs Announced

The French Institute of South Africa (IFAS), a member of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has announced the Top 50 finalists for the second edition of Création Africa South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi.

Création Africa is an initiative of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of France and IFAS. The programme supports cultural entrepreneurship in South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi and connects creative businesses with new opportunities.

After a competitive selection process and live pitches to a jury panel, 50 entrepreneurs advanced to the first phase of the programme. This phase will run from February to March 2026. During this period, participants will strengthen their business models, refine their strategies and prepare for the next stage.

At the end of this phase, the Top 50 will pitch to a panel of investors. The jury will select 15 entrepreneurs to move into a focused business incubation programme from April to October 2026. This stage will provide targeted support to help scale their ventures and build sustainable operations.

Création Africa forms part of IFAS’ broader commitment to cultural and economic exchange between France and southern Africa. As the cultural and cooperation arm of the Embassy of France to South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi, IFAS supports more than 70 projects each year across the arts, education and innovation sectors.
