EnviroServ Celebrates Academic Excellence at Vulumzi Senior Secondary School

EnviroServ proudly congratulates Vulumzi Senior Secondary School on its exceptional performance in the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, reflecting both academic excellence and the power of sustained community partnership.
The National Senior Certificate (NSC) results were officially released on 12 January 2026 by the Minister of Basic Education, Siviwe Gwarube. Across South Africa, the Class of 2025 achieved a historic 88% pass rate, the highest ever recorded, setting a new benchmark for academic achievement nationwide. Within this context, Vulumzi Senior Secondary School delivered an exceptional 95.8% pass rate, surpassing its target of 95%. This accomplishment places the school among the top performers in Motherwell, Eastern Cape, ranking third in an area served by eleven committed and capable high schools.
Behind these results are 192 determined learners who sat for the examinations. Their hard work paid off with 93 Bachelor passes, 72 Diploma passes, and 19 Higher Certificate passes — outcomes that open doors to further study, skills development, and meaningful opportunities.

EnviroServ has supported Vulumzi Senior Secondary School for more than five years, providing annual resources for the school’s Matric camp to help learners prepare effectively for their final examinations. This long-standing partnership reflects EnviroServ’s belief that educating South Africa’s youth is a shared responsibility between government, business, educational institutions, and communities.
